On March 30, 2015 by

Eric N. Klein joins other small business leaders who have graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative. The initiative includes entrepreneurial business owners of small companies who are poised for growth and would benefit from market-based business education and access to capital. The business-support program’s ultimate goal is to boost job growth in the business person’s community.

The initiative was created in 2009 by Goldman Sachs who committed $500 million to offer a business education through the entrepreneurial program at Babson College (Named by Money Magazine as the No. 2 college in America) to 10,000 small businesses in select cities to entrepreneurs who meet program criteria. The initiative in the Greater South Florida region was held at Miami Dade College where Eric spent 100 hours studying topics such as competitive strategy, leadership, marketing and operations management, human resource management, accounting and finance. He also receives on-going support in developing his business education and networks.

The selection process for admission into the program was very competitive. Eric was chosen from a large group of candidates in the Greater South Florida area. As a graduate, Eric will continue to have access to education, networks and capital that will enable him to expand his business and provide new jobs in his community.
