How long will I receive child support / How long do I have to pay child support?
Unless the child has special needs, courts only have the power to order child support until the child turns 18 and graduates high school. If the child has not graduated by the age of 18, payments will continue so long as the child is fully enrolled. If the parents agree, child support payments may continue through the college years, and may be written into a contract form.
