Boca Raton Child Support Lawyer – Eric N. Klein
How does the court determine how much child support is awarded?
The formulas that courts use to determine the amount of child support awarded vary from state to state. However, one commonly used method is to take a percentage of the paying parent's net income and assign it as child support. However, in certain cases, such as when a child has special needs or is disabled, the amount of child support will usually be adjusted accordingly.
